The Rural Vet Mob’s First Mission to Yalata!

Today marks an incredible milestone for The Rural Vet Mob as Bindee Davis and Minindi Pipimias set off on their first official trip to the Yalata Aboriginal Community, located about 1,000km west of Adelaide on the Far West Coast of South Australia with a quick stop in Ceduna along the way. This journey is all about building relationships, engaging with the local community, and earning trust—an essential foundation for the important work ahead.

While the focus of this trip is community engagement, Bindee and Minindi will also be providing essential veterinary care and education, offering basic treatments such as parasite management and general health checks. Their presence ensures that these communities not only gain access to crucial animal care but also begin building a long-term partnership based on trust and understanding.

For Bindee, this moment is the culmination of years of dedication and passion. Despite giving up all her other work to focus entirely on The Rural Vet Mob, she remains committed to completing her veterinary studies while delivering the services these communities deserve. Minindi, a skilled vet nurse with a deep connection to the land, is equally excited to be part of this journey.

Together, they’re paving the way for meaningful change, bringing culturally respectful care and education to the communities that need it most. It’s more than just a job—it’s a calling.

We couldn’t be more proud of the incredible work they’re doing. Stay tuned for more updates as they continue their journey of connection and care! 🐾💚
